Opening Ceremony English Training Program For HCMC People’s Committee Employees

On September 5, 2024, the Opening Ceremony of the English Training Program for officials of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee was officially held at the CEFALT Center for Diplomatic and Foreign Language Training, with sponsorship from Dan On Foods Corporation.

The event was honored to welcome key city officials, including Mr. Nguyen Duy Tan, Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Affairs, and Mr. Le Truong Duy, Assistant Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs. Representing CEFALT, Mr. Mai Anh Thai, Director of the Center for Diplomatic and Foreign Language Training, was also present. Additionally, attendees included Ms. Phan Thi Ngoc Lan, Director of CANCHAM - the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam, Director of MDT Training, and Mr. Andrew, a program instructor.

The English Training Program aims to improve the English communication skills of city officials, helping to strengthen international relations. It provides not only an opportunity to enhance language abilities but also fosters a spirit of learning, building an effective multilingual communication community. Through the program, officials can share global language knowledge with colleagues and family members, contributing to a more professional working environment, while also deepening cultural exchanges and connecting Vietnam with international friends.

During the ceremony, Mr. Dan On, Chairman of Dan On Foods Corporation, expressed his hopes for the program, stating, “I want to help the people of Vietnam by first providing English training in the country, and later creating opportunities for them to study abroad. My goal is to retain talent in Vietnam while helping officials build confidence in international communication.”
