Ho Chi Minh City, November 12, 2024 – At a gratitude ceremony hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Dan On Foods Corporation was officially recognized for its remarkable $1 million sponsorship towards social welfare initiatives. Key contributions included donations of an ambulance, a fire truck, and scholarships for training in Canada, underscoring the company's strong commitment to community development.

Dan On Foods has a long-standing connection with Vietnam, achieving both significant business success and upholding a steadfast commitment to social responsibility in line with its sustainable development goals. In May 2024, the company donated a fully equipped Ford Transit ambulance worth nearly 3 billion VND to Nhan Ai Hospital in Binh Phuoc province, managed by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health. Looking ahead, the company plans to provide a 17-billion-VND Isuzu fire truck to the Department of Fire Prevention and Rescue under the Ministry of Public Security in Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, the company has launched special English scholarships worth 500 million VND in the city, paving the way for future scholarships in Canada to support the education and development of Vietnam’s younger generation. These efforts also extend to offering opportunities for government officials to enhance their skills and knowledge abroad, ultimately contributing to Vietnam’s growth.

The ceremony welcomed esteemed guests from Canada, including Ms. Annie Dube, Canadian Consul General, Ms. Phan Thi Ngoc Lan, Executive Director of CANCHAM, and Mr. Mike, a member of CANCHAM's BOD. From Vietnam, Mr. Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, and Mr. Le Truong Duy, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of External Affairs, were present, along with prominent business leaders like Ms. Le Thi Giau, Chairwoman of Binh Tay Foods, and Ms. Truong Thi Le Khanh, Chairwoman of Vinh Hoan. The presence of both Canadian and Vietnamese officials highlighted the mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
